Batch Enzyme Reactor
A batch enzyme reaction system utilizing the industrially important glucose isomerization reaction
(converting glucose to fructose) catalyzed by glucose isomerize. The purpose of the unit is to
demonstrate batch enzyme kinetics and enzyme characteristics. The reaction takes place inside a
stirred vessel where the stirrer itself is a porous basket inside which the enzyme is immobilized. A
Polari meter device which is integral to the unit monitors the glucose and fructose concentrations with
Sci-tech Evaporation Process Model TH 073 experimental unit can be used to examine and visualise the evaporation process in its various flow forms. This is done by heating evaporating liquid, Solkatherm, in a tube evaporator made of glass. Compared with water, this liquid has the advantage that its boiling point is at 36,7°C (1013hPa), whereby the entire evaporation process takes place at much lower temperatures and a lower heating power. The pressure can be varied via the cooling circuit. Boiling Process Apparatus
Sci-tech Boiling Process Model TH 071 experimental unit can be used to demonstrate boiling and evaporation processes in a straightforward manner. The processes take place in a transparent tank. Using two columns with a chemical catalyst allows a different particle size exchange resin to be used in order to study the effect of particle size on reactor kinetics. Centrifugal Air Compressor Test Apparatus
Sci-tech Centrifugal Air Compressor Test Apparatus Model TH 107 consists of a centrifugal blower driven by a variable speed electric motor. A motor controller is used to regulate the blower speed. Ducts are fitted to inlet & outlet of the blower. A damper in inlet duct is provided to regulate the intake air flow of the blower A Pitot tube with differential manometer is used to measure the air flow rate. Two manometers are provided to measure intake & discharge pressure of air. Two temperature sensors are used to measure the air temperature at inlet & outlet. Blower speed & power consumption are displayed using digital panel indicators.

Chemical Reactor Teaching Equipments
Sci-tech Chemical Reactors Teaching Equipment Model TH 112 is a self-contained bench top service unit designed to provide services for different chemical reactors. The reactors can be easily mounted on to the service equipment & all the Reactor modules can be studied on same service unit. It includes a hot water re-circulator used to control the temperature of the reactions, glass feed vessels for the reactants, two peristaltic pumps to pump the reagents to the reactors.
Chemical Reactor Trainer
The properties of different chemical reactors can be investigated by performing a saponification reaction using this trainer. The contact time and reaction temperature can be varied. Their influence on the conversion of reactants is observed in the respective reactor. The reactors are available as accessories. The unit contains two supply tanks for the liquid chemicals. Two variable speed diaphragm pumps pump the reactants through the reactor. Reactant conversion and reaction temperature are measured with a combined conductivity and temperature measuring unit.

Cleveland Flash Point & Fire Point Apparatus
Sci-tech Cleveland Flash Point & Fire Point Apparatus Model TH 093 is used for determination of flash point and fire point of petroleum products except fuel Oil with open cup flash below 800 C as per specification IP: 36 and IS: 1884 (P: 69) 1969. The apparatus consists of a cup, heating plate, thermometer clip and test flame attachment with swivel joint for passing the flame over test liquid surface in the prescribed manner, Heating is controlled by means of energy regulator fitted to the apparatus. Suitable for operation on 220 Volts 50 cycles AC Circuit.
Concentric Heat Exchanger
Sci-tech Concentric Heat Exchanger Model TH 053 consists of a concentric tube exchanger in the form of “U”, mounted on a support frame. The external surface of the exchanger is insulated. Six temperature sensors are installed in both the inlet and outlet tubes, to measure the fluid temperatures accurately. To minimize losses in the system, the hot water is fed through the inner pipe, with the cooling water in the outer annulus. Control valves are incorporated in each of the two streams to regulate the flow. The flow rates are measured using independent flow meters installed in each line
